Drone cleaning company SkyPSI launches Operator+ to help independent contractors find commercial jobs

SkyPSI brings AI and drone technology to independent contractors with new US platform

Building a business in traditional service industries often depends on access to customers, commercial relationships, and the resources needed to compete for larger contracts. For independent contractors, finding profitable opportunities can be as challenging as delivering the service itself.

SkyPSI wants to make that process easier with Operator+, a free platform that uses commercial property data and AI-powered tools to help drone operators identify exterior cleaning jobs across the United States.

The Dallas-based company announced the nationwide launch of the application, which maps 17.1 million commercial buildings and generates estimates for potential drone-powered cleaning projects. According to SkyPSI, the average commercial opportunity represented on the platform is worth approximately $13,500.

The idea is to give independent operators access to market intelligence that has traditionally been concentrated among larger contractors with dedicated sales and estimating teams.

“Every building in your city is a job,” said Vic Pellicano, founder of SkyPSI, describing the business opportunity behind the platform.

Operator+ combines commercial building information, project pricing, and business management capabilities in one application.

Its main feature, SkyEstimate, calculates the potential value of cleaning individual properties and explains the methodology behind each estimate. This allows operators to evaluate opportunities and prepare quotes without having to rely entirely on trial and error.

The application also includes scheduling, customer and job management, online invoicing, and Sky, an AI-powered virtual crew chief that answers operational questions and helps users identify buildings that match their capabilities.

While the core platform is free and accessible through a Google account, paid subscriptions provide additional tools, including immediate contact information for commercial property decision-makers. New accounts also receive a 30-day Starter trial.

The launch builds on SkyPSI’s original business model, introduced in August 2026 in Dallas-Fort Worth. The company connects independent operators with commercial exterior cleaning contracts through professional drones, operator training and certification, and project support.

Drones can offer an alternative to certain traditional cleaning methods that require workers to access building facades using ropes and specialized equipment. By allowing FAA-certified pilots to control aircraft from the ground, the technology can reduce the need for workers to operate at significant heights in qualifying cleaning operations.

SkyPSI also sees an opportunity to change the economics of exterior maintenance. According to the company, some buildings that previously received only one annual cleaning because of the costs associated with rope access could become candidates for more frequent maintenance through drone-powered services.

Operator+ is available to operators across the United States, including Phoenix, Pittsburgh, and Portland. Although exterior cleaning is the platform’s initial market, SkyPSI intends to explore additional commercial equipment and service categories as its infrastructure develops.

“The robot economy is going to create millions of small businesses,” Pellicano said, describing cleaning as the “first door we’re opening.”

The company’s longer-term ambition is to make robotics more accessible to entrepreneurs who lack the resources of established service businesses. By combining automation, commercial property intelligence, and business management software, SkyPSI is betting that independent operators can build companies around technologies that were previously more difficult to access.

Whether the model can scale will depend on how effectively users turn identified properties into paying customers. But the approach highlights a growing opportunity for technology companies: using AI and robotics not only to automate existing businesses, but also to lower the barriers to creating new ones.
