Best Peruvian startups to compete at Seedstars World 2018 event

An open call has been put out for the best startups in all of Peru: the esteemed Seedstars World Tour is coming soon to Lima to find entrepreneurs and groups with the most innovative ideas in tech and business.

Seedstars will have its regional conference take place May 31 in Lima’s UTEC campus for its startup competition.

A group of judges will select 10 startups based on their five-minute pitches to have a chance at winning up to $1 million in the final competition, the Seedstars Summit in Lausanne, Switzerland.

“Seedstarts World is a platform that connects investors with the next generation of entrepreneurs,” said Seedstars World regional manager Juliane Butty. “As this will be our fifth time organizing this event in Lima, the level of emotion and expectations are very high. We’ve spent five years in the ecosystem. We know that there are businesses in Peru developing products with a lot of quality and we are looking to take the final in Lausanne.”

Competitors can go online to https://seedsta.rs/2jiVpJe to register. All startups must be at least two years old by the competition date, have received at least $500,000 in funding, and have already constructed a product or app.

Seedstars will be traveling to 13 Latin American countries in all this year in search for the best new startups from each one.

The competition in Lima also gives young startups the chance to gain traction with fellow leaders and investors in a golden opportunity for networking.

Seedstars is the first startup competition of its kind and it has had events and summits take place in some 65 countries throughout the world.
